Come and join us for a raffle for a chance to win a photoshoot, t-shirts and other fun prizes.

You will have the opportunity to ask panel members questions and learn about the support that is available to veterans in our community. This is also a great knowledge to have as a social worker.

Are you interested in involvement with the Student Social Work Organization on
campus? We are having a meeting on Wednesday, April 8th at 6:30 pm on the second floor of the library to introduce you to SSWO and vote on board members for next year. We will go over the responsibilities of each position and then vote in the new board members. Involvement in SSWO will also look good on your resume.

Pictures from MLK Day

We enjoyed being a part of the MLK Day of Service on campus. For most of the time, SSWO helped out at the kids' station. We planted tomatoes, chard and peas with them, and they colored signs to to use as labels. They also planted some wildflowers. We then joined everyone else and helped clear weeds and bushes to make the garden area look cleaner. I am excited about this garden. It is great that UWT is finding a resourceful way to help the homeless and low-income families in the area.

UWT Giving Garden Service Project

Come and join SSWO in the UWT Giving Garden service project on MLK Day. We will meet at 10:30 in front of the Science Building (The Science Building is located on top of the centralstairway, if walking up the stairs it is on your right side. The building has blue framing and many windows.) Lunch will be provided. You can register here. From the giving garden website: "The Giving Garden project will include several raised bed gardens, which will grow fresh produce. This produce will be harvested and donated to Tacoma's Good Neighbor Café, a facility providing breakfast and dinner to homeless and low-income individuals." Be a part of this great cause!
